Mission
As Business Development Manager – Strategic Partnerships, you will be responsible for strengthening and expanding the strategic partnerships between Banqup and its largest customer groups or organisations. You will play a key role in driving mutual growth by aligning Banqup’s innovative digital, financial, and payment solutions with the business objectives of our strategic partners.
In this sales-oriented role, you will build trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, identify opportunities for co-innovation, and ensure seamless collaboration between Banqup and its partners. Operating in a fast-growing scale-up environment, you will manage high-impact accounts and contribute directly to revenue growth and market expansion.
Responsibilities
This is what we expect of you:
- Strategic partnership: You develop and execute a clear partnership strategy with Banqup’s largest customer groups or organisations, aligning shared goals and ensuring mutual success in delivering digital and payment solutions for businesses.
- Relationship management: You act as the primary point of contact for strategic partners, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Co‑innovation & market opportunities: You identify and drive opportunities for co-innovation, such as integrating Banqup’s financial and administrative tools into partners’ ecosystems to enhance customer experience, strengthen competitive positioning, and capture new market opportunities.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: You collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, product, marketing, pre-sales, customer success, partner sales, and business development) as well as partner teams to define and execute joint go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and customer success initiatives.
- Go‑to‑Market & adoption: You promote cross-platform adoption by positioning Banqup’s solutions within partners’ networks and vice versa, optimizing customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Performance monitoring: You monitor, analyse, and report on partnership performance using data-driven insights, KPIs, and CRM dashboards to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Integration & delivery: You facilitate seamless collaboration around API integrations, electronic document exchange processes, and payment solutions between Banqup and its partners.
- Commercial negotiation: You lead partnership and commercial negotiations, ensuring alignment on commercial terms, shared objectives, and customer-centric outcomes.
- Strategic advisory: You act as a strategic advisor to Banqup leadership and to strategic partners, providing insights to maximize partnership impact, scalability, and long-term value.
We would be happy to see
We are looking for candidates who have:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- You have -+ 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership development, preferably in a SaaS, fintech, or technology-driven environment.
- You are a true hunter: you enjoy prospecting, opening doors, building a pipeline, and closing new strategic partnerships.
- You have experience selling complex solutions to mid-sized to large organisations and are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- You have strong negotiation skills and experience closing commercial and partnership agreements.
- You are able to identify partner needs and translate them into concrete value propositions and co-innovation opportunities.
- You are result-driven and used to working with targets, KPIs, and CRM tools to manage your pipeline and performance.
- You are proactive, resilient, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-growing scale-up environment.
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills in English, Dutch and French.
